How can a data center be in 8 countries at once? Do you mean distributed hosting?
MediaTemple are supposed to be very good (and have a feature similar to this I believe).
If you just want a data centre in one of those countries, I'd recommend
EastSolid. I hardly ever have any problems with them, and when I do it's almost always fixed immediately (they've even recompiled bits of software for me before, bear in mind this is
shared hosting - the service is excellent for the price).
If you want complete control over your OS, I'd purchase a VPS. They're not expensive and you can do whatever you like with one (normally). I've heard that
SliceHost are good too, they certainly look it from the website.
