Hello, I have an idea for a web application and i am ready to start hiring people to make it come to life. I need everyones advice on where to start as i haven't done this before. I appreciate your time in helping me.

Lets start with the idea:
The idea is to create a web based DMS(Dealer Management System) for car dealers. This system would include things like basic accounting, reporting, payroll, CRM for sales and service, accounts payable, accounts recievable, and the list goes on.......

Now your probably saying well im sure there are already people doing this and your right. Actually there are 2 major players, ADP and Reynolds & Reynolds. They are titans in the industry. But with that they have failed in 1 aspect. THey both have lost touch of what makes them money....DEALERS... I am myself a car dealer with 2 stores. I have ADP in one and Reynolds in the other. Each are functioning but not what they should be for 2010. They are stuck back in the 90's when the oringal system was made.So my idea is the create a webbased system and not stop there.

Other than the DMS you have all the other vendors that u pay for CRM, inventory tools, website, marketing and the list goes on. And none of them really talk or interact with each other and i have so many login's and passwords its not funny. With this being said i want to integrate all this into 1 system.

I know this isn't going to be a quick and easy thing i know its going to take years and im ready to invest in this. I have done my business plan on it to make sure it would be profitable and there wasn't any question that it could be.

And i'm sure there are some people here that are going to bash me about posting this and pick it apart and that ok thats what i want. i want feedback on it.

The good news is i have 2 dealerships with a full IT staff, office space, lights power and everything, all i need really is staffing at this point....from what i see.

So the question is, where does everyone here think i should start? Who do i need for staff?
