C.V and Portfolio Ideas?

Hi all,
I was just wondering what ways are you expanding and improving your C.V/Portfolios?
I currenty am creating a program for this years imagine cup with a few classmates.
Hopefully this can add a little to my portfolio but other than that theres not much else
Im trying to convince a local sports club to update their system from pen and paper to one I can create that does all they do now on a computer more efficiently.
Any Ideas are much appreciated!

Elmo

If they're on pen and paper, you don't need a CV to convince them. You need a good explanation to convince them that they will be better off using a computer than sticking to pen and paper.

As I understand you want to give them a free product, right? It's a great plus. Use it.

Tell them something that now they're doing it the old-style, that it's more like a waste of time compared to what you can give them. Or something like that. Also do not forget to mention what your product can give them.
There is a very important thing - comparing. When you tell a minus of the way they do, do not forget to mention a plus that would replace that minus when you're talking about your program.

Yes, Im really just trying to build up a portfolio, and as a member of the club I would also benefit from a new system.
Too much time is wasted checking in and paying fees etc.

Think im going to type up a proposal outlining what i find to be a waste in club resources in terms of time and money etc.
Then suggest how I can improve them with my program and such.

I agree you need to convience them that they need something on a computer.
How about creating something that they will use and then it should lead from there.
