A friend just told me about this. Pandora is an application of the Music Genome Project (link). With Pandora, you can enter a song/artist that you like and it will find other songs like it that you will prob like too. Nifty stuff.

Interesting. Does it mean that basically you'll be listening to songs that all sound similar, or does it go for something a bit deeper than that? Like, say if they had a Book Genome Project, would the books you search for all have basically the same plot, or would there be some aspect in there, i.e. the sense of humour, or the way the action is played out, that is in common, instead of the more obvious aspects of the book such as what it is about?
