Empty Music Folder

Ive got 2.5 gigs of music and its stored in Mac HD/users/defaultuser/music/iTunes/iTunes music but when i browse to there in Finder the folder is empty

When i load up iTunes it shows all my music as there and reports it all being saved to the directory that i stated above. When i right click on the folder it says 0 Kb on disc

Can anyone enlighten me to where my music actually is and why its not showing?

Music is stored in HD/users/youruser/music/itunes/itunes music

But... music doesn't have to be there. Sometimes it is linked to places on your HD. I you choose advanced/consolidate library it will copy ALL your music to that folder above. Make sure you have HD space to spare (you have a new computer so it won't matter)

ahhh i see. Ive just found it. its in Mac HD/users/defaultuser/documents/music/blah ...

I will copy it all into the correct folder now. Thanks

NO!

I wouldn't do that. Use advanced -> consolidate library in iTunes.
